While my composition is pretty central, I think the diagonals and interesting colors make up for it. The composition isn't symmetrical so it still is compositionally good. I'm trying to maintain the bright colors of the original castle. My reference picture is the National Palace of Pena in Portugal. So far, I haven't made much progress due to my home project and college applications, but I've blocked in the big parts of the painting. I'm not sure how I want to do the background. I could do a sunset, but that might be too many warm colors, so I might just do a cool blue color to contrast it more. That way, it would also include the three primary colors which might look good. I think doing the fine details of the piece like the clock will tie in the final piece better, but I know it will be hard nailing the texture of the stones.
