I really enjoyed learning about weaving and all the different techniques and types of weaving there is. I found it really cool that Ms.Jones that she has sheep and grows her dye which uses to weave. I loved how nature and the seasons influence her work so much and how she uses the colors of nature to bring color to her work. One of her pieces that she brought, she said it was yarn from the 1980s. I found that interesting and it gave it an antique feel and I was also curious on how yarn and its uses has changed from then to now. I also loved hearing about her solo exhibition called the World Wide Web and how she stated that she believes that anything can be a thread. She stated that she found inspiration in nature and that she likes to go out for walks to find inspiration. This is something I would like to incorporate into my art because it is hard for me to find inspiration a lot of times, so I think it would be an amazing idea to go for walk and see what I can find that can inspire me.
