Artist Copy Process Post

So far I have completed the contour drawing of my artist copy. I had to redo parts of the face and hands to make them more proportionate, but I think it looks pretty good so far. I have started to use my material of conte. In the beginning, it was difficult to get used to the waxy texture and small crayons, but Coach Hall bought a conte pencil and I have gotten a lot more used to it. One part that has been challenging is copying the artistic mark because the texture of the original paper is different so the way mine looks is different. I am also used to smudging and blending, but this artistic mark is based on used lines and hatching. I've learned to be patient and also trust the process, but also to find materials that can help me instead of struggling a lot with something else.
